Dr. Brown works for a Harvest end user, advises the early adopter program, and is also working on specific case studies to explore the use of Earth Observations for informing agricultural practice.
Biography
Molly E Brown, PhD, works with 6th Grain Corporation as its Science Officer and as an associate research Professor at the University of Maryland Department of Geographical Sciences. Molly has fifteen years of experience in interdisciplinary research using satellite remote sensing data and models with socio-economic and demographic information to better understand food security and agriculture. She has worked on projects in Africa and south Asia and lived in Senegal while in the Peace Corps in the early 1990s. Molly has a BS in Biology, and a MA and PhD from the Department of Geographical Science from the University of Maryland.
